Prevent colds

Influenza occurs more frequently in the cold season. The virus is mainly transmitted by droplet infection , but it can also be spread by smear and contact infection . (Door handles and handles, banknotes,  Shaking hands, ...) The virus finally enters the body via the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

The spread of the flu can be prevented by following simple hygiene measures:

1.Hand hygiene:

- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap, especially after coming home and before preparing food.

- Avoid / reduce touching your face.

2. Cough and sneeze hygienically:

It is better to cough or sneeze into a handkerchief or your sleeve than into your hands. Otherwise, the virus is transferred to objects with every touch.

Turn away from people and keep your distance.

3. Pay attention to typical symptoms and stay at home in case of illness:

In the event of a sudden feeling of illness with fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle-, limb- and headache and breathing difficulties, particularly observe the hygiene measures to protect other people from virus transmission. Cure the flu at home.

Avoid physical contact with family members as much as possible. (Hugging, kissing, ...)

4. Ventilate rooms regularly:

The number of viruses can increase significantly indoors, making an infection more likely.  Even more so if the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract are additionally burdened by dry heating air, especially in the colder months of the year.  It is recommended to ventilate for at least 10 minutes several times a day (3-4 times).
